Paysafe announces igaming upgrades for Skrill US

Paysafe-owned digital wallet Skrill US has announced the first of a number of upgrades to its product, making it easier for players to wager with licensed online gambling operators.

Skill said new and existing customers can now register or log-in, fund their player account and start wagering in a matter of seconds.

Players can fund a wager direct from their bank account via instant online bank transfer and also load funds to their wallet balance using a credit or debit card, as well as Paysafecard or Paysafecash eCash solutions.

For first-time Skrill users, their bank accounts are securely linked to their Skrill accounts to allow instant deposits, with funds fully guaranteed to operators by Skrill. Alternatively, Skrill customers can enter their credit or debit card details or use Paysafecard or Paysafecash to fund their Skrill accounts and then deposit to wager with igaming brands.

For returning players, the log-in page’s ‘Remember Me’ functionality allows customers to skip to funding their deposit, with the ability to deposit funds in a single-click action.

Winnings are accessible to players in their Skrill account in real time. Pay-outs can be spent online and offline using the Skrill Visa Prepaid Card, withdrawn directly as cash at an ATM or transferred into players’ linked bank accounts.

“Players using Skrill USA to wager with US igaming brands will enjoy the wallet’s sophisticated user experience and find it’s faster than ever before to make a deposit and to receive pay-outs of their winnings,” Skrill US chief executive and chief financial officer Paul Jardon said.

Paysafe’s North America igaming chief executive, Zak Cutler, added: “Payments are one of the main pillars of customer conversion for US igaming brands. With an unparalleled payments experience, the new Skrill USA digital wallet will give operators an edge when it comes to customer acquisition and retention – we feel it’s a game changer for the increasingly competitive US market.”
